The Engineering Technology class recently completed a project for the Precision Machining class. They designed a holder for machining parallels and then printed it in five parts using their 3-D printer. The individual sections are dovetailed to slide together. Jon Clouse, Engineering instructor, explained that this was a great project for his class because it included problem solving and checking and adapting. He said it was a challenge because of the expansion and stretch of the plastic material used for the piece.
