It's fall, and at Tri Star, that means eighth grade tours time! Pictures of eighth graders from all nine feeder schools: St. Marys, New Knoxville, Coldwater, Celina, Minster, Marion Local, St. Henry, Fort Recovery and New Bremen can be seen below. The students toured Tri Star programs over a period of four weeks in October. The tour is used to introduce students to Tri Star and to help them explore a variety of career fields. The eighth graders visit 13 different programs during the day-long tour. The students tour Ag. Mechanics and Vet Tech programs in Coldwater, Med Prep, Electronics, Precision Machining and Welding and Engineering Technology programs in St. Marys, and Business Management, Early Childhood, Interactive Media, Graphics and Automotive Technology programs in Celina. They also make a stop at the Tri Star house site to see the home that is being built by the construction class. Highlights of the tour include seeing the difference between brand new dollar bills and used ones in Business Management, petting a hedgehog in Vet Tech, machining a metal bat in Precision Machining and blowing up a cup in Ag. Mechanics. Pictures from each school's tour will be added here as they are completed. Also see our Facebook page for more.
