Tri Star’s Biomedical/Electronics students once again took the top three places plus an honorable mention spot (fourth place) at the Rhodes State College Engineering Day’s Electronics Challenge on Friday, March 6th. This is the 15th straight year that Tri Star students have taken 1st place in this contest, and the sixth time that they took the top 3 places.
Tri Star winners were (left to right): Emma Johnson (New Knoxville, junior) – THIRD place; Adam Guggenbiller (St. Henry, senior)- FIRST place; and Landon Schlater (Coldwater, senior) – SECOND place. Missing when the picture was taken: Levi Huges (New Knoxville, senior)- FOURTH place/honorable mention.
The Electronics Challenge consists of a written test and a soldering project where students must explain the operation of it to the judges. Jerry Kohnen is Tri Star’s Biomedical/Electronics instructor and coaches the students for the contest.
