Architect selection moves Tri Star one step closer to new building
Celina, Ohio. (date) – Tri Star Career Compact’s new two-story building, dubbed Tri Star 2.0, move one step closer to reality with the selection of Celina, Ohio-based Fanning/Howey Associates, Inc. as the design architect. Tri Star administrators are expected to sit down with the architecture and engineering firm this week to begin the design phase of the project.
“This is an exciting time for the entire Tri Star community,” says Tri Star director Tim Buschur. “We are thrilled to start working with the architect and engineers of Fanning Howey to bring our vision of cutting-edge STEM education to life.”
Design of the project will be led by Brad Bubp, AIA, a project executive in Fanning Howey’s Celina office and a native of Fort Recovery, Ohio. “The new Tri Star 2.0 campus will be a catalyst for skills training and economic development. As local residents, we couldn’t be more excited to bring national expertise in school design to this exciting and innovative project.”
The new Tri Star 2.0 building will consolidate Tri Star’s existing campuses into one state-of-the-art building. The design will give students and local businesses access to the latest tools for 21st century skill training and education.
The projects next step will include hiring of a Construction Manager at Risk. That selection will occur in February 2017.
