The Senior Med Prep class held their annual Thanksgiving luncheon fundraiser on Wed., Nov. 26 at the Dennings Building in St. Marys. The students donated and prepared all of the usual fixin’s for a Thanksgiving meal including home baked desserts. Administrators from a variety of Tri Star’s associate high schools, area business partners, and Tri Star staff and students converged on the Med Prep classroom and enjoyed the feast.

Tri Star’s Senior Horticulture program has adopted over 300 wetland plants and developed a wetland in their greenhouse. The plants were removed from Grand Lake and placed in the greenhouse where the Horticulture students will be testing water quality effects on plant growth and the plants ability to absorb various nutrients.

Janae Evers, a senior in the Graphic Communications program, created the winning design for the Tri Star catalog cover this year. Her design was selected from approximately 40 that were submitted from the junior and senior graphics classes.

The month of October has been busy for Tri Star teachers and their students as they have been hosting area 8^th graders for tours of their classes. Celina, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, St. Henry and St. Marys 8^th graders visited 14 different career technical programs.
