Diversified Cooperative Training is a work-study program in the skilled trades area. Each student chooses an area of skill study. He/She spends a half day studying life skills and career material related to that skill. The other half of the day is spent on-the-job. A minimum of 15 hours per week of work is required.
Examples of skilled trades students may choose from:
- Auto body and detailing
- Carpet installation
- Child care
- Construction
- Cosmetology
- Custodial services
- Delivery - truck driving
- Farm production (pork, beef, poultry, etc.)
- Heating and cooling service
- Light manufacturing and assembly
- Marine maintenance
- Retail sales
- Supervision and management development
