CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:
Landscape Architecture, Landscape Contractor, Golf Course Superintendent, Turf Management, Greenhouse Management, Nursery and Garden Center Employee, and Horticulturist. Some careers may require additional education beyond high school.

A two-year program at Tri Star, Horticulture emphasizes landscape construction. Students work hands-on developing landscape sites with the aid of computer landscape programs. They learn to grow and care for plants in the Tri Star Greenhouse. Skill areas covered include:

• Deck building
• Plant propagation
• Floral design
• Customer relations
• Disease control
• Sales and marketing
• Greenhouse management
• Computer landscape design
• Product displays and advertising
• Plant classification and identification
• Brick patio, walkway construction

Qualifying seniors may participate in early placement the last nine weeks of the school year.
