A two-year program, Horticulture emphasizes landscape construction and the management of ecosystems.  Students work hands-on developing landscape sites with the aid of computer landscape programs.  They learn to grow and care for plants in the Tri Star Greenhouse. The class will include study in land use and regulations, and environmental technology and management. Skill areas covered include:

•  Plant propagation
•  Customer relations
•  Sales and marketing
•  Greenhouse management
•  Computer landscape design
•  Product displays and advertising
•  Plant classification and identification
•  Brick patio/walkway construction
•  Disease control
•  Floral design
•  Deck building

Qualifying seniors may participate in early placement the last nine weeks of the school year.
