Vet Tech is a College Tech Prep program, which provides training in the field of veterinary medicine and the animal industry.  The course will cover both large and small animals.  Students will study and develop skills in:

• Identification and treatment of medical conditions and diseases in animals
•  Animal health and nutrition
•  Animal behavior
•  Provide treatment for routine problems
•  Assist with physical exams, clinical exams, hospital and laboratory procedures, and minor surgery
•  Anatomy and physiology
•  Medical terminology
•  Grooming/handling
•  Safety and Sanitation
•  Office/business management – maintain records, inventory, pharmaceuticals, and equipment and supplies
