Several Tri Star students competed at the Southwest Ohio SkillsUSA Championships over the course of the month of March. Individuals who medaled included: Cole Froning in CNC machining – first place/gold medal, and Madison Rose in Medical Terminology - second place/silver medal. A team of Med Prep students, Michaela Siefring, Katelyn Goettemoeller, Madison Ginter and Shelby Kanorr, competed in the Health Knowledge Bowl earning a bronze medal for their third place finish. All medal winners proceed to the Ohio SkillsUSA Championship in Columbus April 14th and15th.
Other individuals who competed were Jason Homan in Technical Drafting; Jay Gruss in Welding, and Brent Bohman, Dillon Lininger and Jason Will in Welding Fabrication. Instructors and SkillsUSA Advisors are: Janet Nelson – Med Prep, Rob Menker – Precision Machining, Todd Smith – Welding and Jon Clouse – Engineering Technology.
