A contingent of Tri Star students recently attended MakerFest, a three-day career fair and skills competition held at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center and Apollo Career Center in Lima, Ohio. Several Tri Star students competed in the skills competitions and came home winners!
Welding student Mark Pushel (St. Marys), won first place in the welding competition.
Automotive Technology students Robert Egbert (New Knoxville), Cody Mihm (St. Marys) and Clay Kahlig (Coldwater), competed in Automotive troubleshooting where Egbert placed first and received a $1,000 scholarship to UNOH and a $370 drill, Mihm came in second and received a $750 scholarship to UNOH and a die grinder and Kahlig placed fifth out of 14 students.
REC Tech students, Zach Klosterman (Coldwater), Troy Bruggeman (Marion Local) and Nathan Bertke (Marion Local) competed in the Math Challenge taking first place. Congratulations to all!
