The State Legislature recently approved language allowing Tri Star
Career Compact to run a levy that would help fund a facility to house
all Tri Star programs in one location. The site will be located near
the campus of Wright State University Lake Campus. School officials are
in the early stages of planning the proposed facility and are
interested in running a levy in early August. The Ohio Facilities
Construction Committee (OFCC) will assist with partial funding of the
new facility.
Tri Star Career Compact officials and its nine member schools have
been gathering input from local business, school, and economic
development leaders, in order to develop additional skill training
programs for the new facility.
In mid-December, school officials also applied for a Straight A
Grant. The grant would provide funding for equipment, professional
development, and program development as well as assist each member
school in developing career pathways at their local schools.
