Tri Career Compact in partnership with Ohio ACTE, is sponsoring a Success Series professional development opportunity for 15 Precision Machining teachers from around Ohio on March 9th at the Dennings Building in St. Marys.
The Success Series was developed to allow career field instructors an opportunity to interact and share ideas in a classroom/lab setting. Career Tech teachers want specific career field opportunities that are related to their classroom.
Tri Star was selected due to the successful program that Rob Menker, Tri Star Precision Machining Teacher, has developed over the years. In addition to Rob sharing discussion on Best Practices in his classroom, the following will make presentations:
Tess Elshoff- President of the State of Ohio School Board “The Importance of Career Technical Education”
Brian Styer- Employee Relation Manager from Nidec Minster. “Manufacturing in Ohio and the Value of Career Technical Training”
Jared Ebbing- Mercer County Economic Development Director. “Economic Development and a Trained Workforce”
