It’s “Sophomore Visits” week at Tri Star! Sophomores, who are considering enrolling in Tri Star, visit a program of their choice during the morning session. While at Tri Star, they work alongside current Tri Star students, taking part in the everyday hands-on projects and technologies used in that specific program.
They also learn what they can do with the skills they will develop, such as, go straight into the workforce or continue on to college. The visit is designed to help sophomores make a good decision about whether a Tri Star program is right for them. All nine area feeder high schools visit Tri Star throughout the week with Coldwater, Fort Recovery, and St. Henry’s visit on Tuesday, Celina, New Bremen, Minster and New Knoxville’s visit on Wednesday and Marion Local and St. Marys’ visit on Thursday.
Students will have another chance to investigate a Tri Star program during the Open House on January 8th. All locations and classrooms will be open and students are encouraged to visit any number of programs that are of interest to them. Parents are welcome. The Open House will run from
5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
To apply for a program, Sophomores must complete a Tri Star application and return it to their high school guidance counselor by the deadline. Applications can be found on the Tri Star website here, picked up at the Tri Star office or from their guidance counselor. Any student or parent with questions is encouraged to call the Tri Star Office at 419-586-7060.
