Three Tri Star students placed in the top three in their event at the 2017 SkillsUSA Ohio Championships in Columbus on Tuesday April 11th. REC Tech senior Troy Bruggeman placed second in the Electronics Technology competition, Med Prep senior Lindsey Bergman took third place in the Medical Math Competition while Trent Bohman, a junior in Engineering Technology, finished third in the Technical Drafting competition. Hunter Markins*, a Celina sophomore, competed in the Cabinetry event finishing fourth and Tri Star Automotive Technology senior Robert Egbert came in fifth place out of 18 competitors in the Automotive Service Technology event. Other Tri Star competitors included Precision Machining seniors Adam Wicker - CNC Milling, Keegan Liette - CNC Turning, and Graphics senior Hailey Oldiges - Advertising Design.
These students have put in hours of preparation and work to get to this point and all deserve congratulations on a job well done!
