Tri Star Career Compact’s Health Information Technology and Interactive Media classes participated in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Competition at Apollo Career Center (Lima) on January 24th. Tri Star’s students competed against students from other regional career technical schools in a wide range of workplace related skills contests such as Graphic Design, Computer Programming Concepts and Financial Math & Analysis.
An awards ceremony was held January 30th at the UNOH Event Center in Lima to announce the contest winners and to present awards. Click here for Tri Star’s results. (Bolded names are advancing to state.)
Four Tri Star students qualified to move on to the state BPA competition which will take place in Columbus on March 8th and 9th. They are Tyler Wolters for Human Resources Management, Jared Naviello for Fundamentals of Web Design, Harry Kaiser for Fundamentals of Web Design and Cole Link for Legal Office Procedures. Tri Star’s BPA advisors are Lynne Ray and Lisa Sheppard.
