Coldwater eighth and ninth students were the first to participate in the annual Tri Star tours at the new Tri Star building. Each fall, eighth grade students from all nine Tri Star feeder schools get a chance to learn about the programs that Tri Star offers. Freshmen students were included in the tour this year because their eighth grade tour was postponed due to Tri Star's move to it's new facility. Visiting students spend 12-15 minutes in each of 12 programs throughout the course of the day. They experience the hands-on training that goes on daily in each class and learned about careers that are related to that training from current Tri Star students and staff.
Over the course of six weeks, 1,900 students from 9 feeder schools will visit Ag. Industrial Tech, Animal Health, Automotive Technology, Early Childhood Education, Engineering Technology, Graphic Communications, Interactive Media, Med Prep, Precision Machining, REC Tech and Welding and the Construction program at the actual house site at 6799 Lake Acres, Celina. Pictures from each school's tour will be added to the website as they are completed.
Tri Star staff enjoyed showing off their programs and demonstrating how their training can be the beginning of a great career. Thanks for visiting Tri Star!
