Tri Star is celebrating Career Technical Education this month. February is set aside by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to celebrate and raise awareness of career technical education. Do you know what career technical education is?
The following definition can be found on the internet:
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.
That is what we do at Tri Star Career Compact. We have worked very hard over the last 35 years to serve our nine feeder schools: Celina, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, St. Henry and St. Marys.
And now, we begin a new chapter as we open our doors to our new facility and campus at 7655 State Route 703, Celina in the fall (2019). That’s something to celebrate!
We’re looking forward to a whole new crop of incoming students who will have a wonderful new place to be trained and educated. It cannot be stated enough how very thankful we are for the communities, businesses, and individuals that have supported our mission in the past and have seen fit to continue that support into an even better future.
In addition, we celebrate our Tri Star graduates and the many successes they have had. These students have made an important impact in our communities and will continue to shape those communities in the future.
And finally, our staff is important and worth celebrating too. We thank them for their dedication to providing top-notch training and for caring about the students they educate.
Happy Career Technical Education Month!
P. S. We still have room for students to join us in our new facility and join the celebration! Call the Tri Star Office for details (419-586-7060).
