Tri Star is celebrating Career Technical Education this month. February is set aside by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to celebrate and raise awareness of career technical education.
Do you know what career technical education is? The following definition can be found on the internet:
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge, and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.
That is what we do at Tri Star Career Compact. We've worked very hard over the last 35+ years to serve our nine feeder schools: Celina, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, St. Henry and St. Marys.
This past August (2019) we opened the doors to our new facility and campus at 7655 State Route 703, Celina. It's a beautiful 102,000 square foot career technical school. In this new facility, we are easily able to offer career technical education and services not only to high school students but adults as well. Tri Star is also a great place for the community to use too and that’s something to celebrate!
It cannot be stated enough how very thankful we are for the communities, businesses, and individuals that have supported our mission in the past and have seen fit to continue that support into an even better future.
In addition to career technical education, we celebrate our Tri Star graduates and the many successes they have had. These students have made an important impact in our communities and will continue to shape those communities in the future. How many career technical schools can boast a graduate that has appeared on Shark Tank? Check out Tom Burden's career pathway and celebrate with us!
And finally, our staff is important and worth celebrating too. We thank them for their dedication to providing top-notch training and for caring about the students they educate.
Happy Career Technical Education Month!
