NEW TEACHER FEATURE - Get to know her ….
Tri Star has added a new faculty member to it teaching staff for the 2022-23 school year: Mandy Diller.
Mrs. Diller will be teaching the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. She follows Bonnie Dahlinghaus who retired. Mrs. Dahlinghaus started the ECE program and Mandy will be only the second ECE teacher in Tri Star's history.
In an effort to help you get to know Mrs. Diller, we asked her to answer a few random questions.

Mrs. Diller graduated from Fort Recovery High School. She went on to attend Wright State University where she earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She earned a Master's Degree from Wright State University in the Art of Teaching. She started her teaching career at Fort Recovery Schools but moved on to spend 24 years in various elementary positions at Coldwater Schools. She has taught special education K-12, 5th grade, 2nd grade, Title Reading and most recently 4th grade.

Where were you Born?
Answer: Portland, Indiana but grew up in Fort Recovery, Ohio
What motivated you to become a teacher?
Answer: I have always enjoyed working with children especially when I get to teach them new concepts. I also love being a part of their life and getting to know them and hopefully making an impact on them.
Do you have any children and how many?
Answer: Three - two girls: Alysha and Kourtney, and one boy, Adam, plus two grandchildren.
What is your favorite mode of transportation?

Answer: Sanbridge Beach, Virginia
Where would you go if you could travel to any location?
What is your favorite restaurant?
Answer: The Merchant House

What makes you laugh?
Answer: My husband and Dad jokes
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Answer: Any ice cream with peanut butter
Do you have a pet peeve and what is it?
Answer: Improper grammar - seeing signs with words spelled incorrectly
Answer: Reading, puzzles, walking, biking, fishing, baking and cooking
