Dan Broering, President, and CEO of The Peoples Bank Co., presented a check to Rod Carpenter on behalf of his Marathon XI Tri Star Eternal Scholarship Fund.
Through this Eternal Fund, students from Mercer and Auglaize Counties going to Tri Star may apply for scholarships to help offset the cost of continuing their education. Last year six students were awarded $1,000 each. The amount given through the Mercer County Civic Foundation should grow as the funds grow. This will allow students for years to come the opportunity for scholarships to continue their education after they complete their Tri Star schooling.
The Peoples Bank Co. strongly supports Tri Star and all the work the Carpenters do in our communities. Many local charities have benefited through the Carpenters missions, raising over $500,000 spread over 11 different non-profit organizations. If you would like to contribute to the Tri Star Eternal Scholarship Fund, make your check out to the Mercer County Civic Foundation, memo line should read “Tri Star Eternal,” and mail it to 2315 Eaglebrooke Circle, Celina, OH 45822.
