Area Sophomores are invading Tri Star! Over the next few days, Sophomores from all nine Tri Star feeder schools, get the opportunity to try, hands-on, two programs of their choice during the afternoon session of classes. Originally organized for Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 6th, 7th, and 8th, Sophomore Visits as they are referred to, were postponed due to fog. But the rescheduled visits have gone well in spite of the cancellations .
While at Tri Star, sophomores work alongside current Tri Star students, taking part in the everyday projects and technologies used in a specific program. They also learn what they can do with the skills they will develop, such as, go straight into the workforce or continue on to college. The visit is designed to help sophomores make a good decision about whether a Tri Star program is right for them. In all, over 500 sophomores representing Celina, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, New Knoxville, St. Henry and St. Marys will participate in the half-day event.
The visits are followed by the annual Open House on Monday, Dec. 12th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to check Tri Star out as well. The Open House is open to the public.
