Ohio State Highway Patrol officer Rob Gatchel was a guest speaker this week talking to the junior class about safe driving practices. Many students drive to Tri Star and a recent rise in young adults being ticketed plus a concern for their safety brought Gatchel to Tri Star. Thank you Patrolman Rob Gatchel for reminding our students of the importance of
... checking to make sure their vehicle is safe to be on the road
... driving the speed limit
... slowing down when the weather is bad
... being a thoughtful driver - don't text or do things that would distract your attention while you are driving
Gatchel also told juniors that it's better to be late than to not arrive at all.
Tri Star administration also reminds students that driving is a privilege and if a student gets a ticket for speeding, irresponsible driving, or whatever, they can have their driving privileges suspended for a time and will have to ride the bus to Tri Star.
Please drive safely and responsibly.
