REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of five years of experience in the manufacturing operations/precision machining field as well as tool and die, milling, and other professional experience. A high school diploma or GED is required, AND must be willing to obtain a teaching license OR hold a valid teaching license in the career field.
Candidate’s knowledge base should include but not be limited to manual and CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders including proper set-up of machining processes, safety, blueprint reading, and measurement and inspection. Experience with CAD/CAM software and lean manufacturing principals. Tooling U experience is a plus.
Position demands excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work with high school students of all skill levels, meet deadlines, and teach employability skills. Candidate should enjoy working with people, must work with other Tri Star programs for cross program teaching, and work well with local companies and Tri Star schools. Candidate will also be required to serve as SkillsUSA Advisor.
