NEW STAFF FEATURE - Get to know them ….

Tri Star has added two new faculty members to its staff this year. They are:
Paula VanTilburg. Paula is Tri Star's new assistant director. She replaced Brian Stetler who has transitioned to our VOSE (Vocational Special Education) coordinator.

And Brian Gilliland. Mr. Gilliland will teach the Manufacturing and Machining Technology program (formerly Precision Machining). He follows Mitch Knous who left to work in industry.

Mr. Stetler was Tri Star's assistant director for 10 years but recently retired and was hired as our new VOSE (Vocational Special Education) coordinator replacing Don Berry who retired.

Where were you born?
Answer: St. Marys, Ohio

Answer: Celina

Do you have any children and how many?
Answer: Tate (8) and Claire (5)

What motivated you to work in education?
Answer: I knew since the second grade that I wanted to be a teacher! I loved every teacher I had K - 12th grade.

I was in the Marketing program at St. Marys [High School] - that is when I decided Business Education/Career Technology

Where did you attend college/get your training?
Answer: Bowling Green State University - Bachelor of Business Education, Nova Southeastern University - Masters degree, and University of Findlay - Administrative Licensure

What is your favorite mode of transportation?
Answer: Boat

What is your favorite vacation destination?
Answer: Any place warm - We travel to Florida often to visit my dad and we take our boat there for the winter

Where would you go if you could travel to any location?
Answer: I am simple - I don't love flying so anything in the US!

What is your favorite restaurant and what would you order?
Answer: Anything

The last book I read was .....
Answer: "I love it here" by Clint Pulver - How great leaders create organizations their people never want to leave.

What makes you laugh?
Answer: Surrounding myself with positive people.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Answer: Chocolate/Buckeye

Answer: People who complain

Answer: Exercise, watching my kids do their hobbies and sports, and boating
