Tri Star Career Compact (7655 State Route 703, Celina, OH) is accepting applications for the position of
for the 2025-26 school year.
Work with high school career technical education students from nine schools in Auglaize and Mercer counties.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of five years of experience in the information/cybersecurity technology field and a high school diploma or GED is required AND must be willing to obtain a teaching license OR hold a valid teaching license in Career Technical Workforce Development. Associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Industry certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, etc.) preferred.
- Successful teaching experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with high school students
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex cybersecurity concepts for students at different skill levels.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., a negative tuberculosis test, medical exam, etc.)
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and policies
- Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job functions
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop and deliver engaging cybersecurity courses, including lectures, labs, and hands-on exercises.
- Teach core cybersecurity concepts such as network security, ethical hacking, threat analysis, risk management, and incident response.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, threats, and security technologies to ensure course material remains relevant.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them prepare for certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, and more.
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and practical assessments.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to continuously improve the curriculum.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with local companies
