This year, Tri Star is proud to celebrate the retirement of three outstanding women who have each made a lasting impact on our school community: Brenda Dorner, Brenda Speck, and Julie Schosker.

Brenda Dorner has dedicated 30 years to the Celina school system, touching the lives of students across every level—from preschool at Head Start to elementary, middle, and high school. For the past four years, she has served as the Administrative Assistant at Tri Star, where her experience, organization, and warm presence have helped keep daily operations running smoothly. Brenda’s versatility and commitment to students and staff alike have made her an invaluable part of our team.

Brenda Speck brought decades of experience to Tri Star after working 30 years in the nursing field, eventually serving as the Director of Nursing at The Gardens of St. Henry. She then joined Tri Star as the Med Prep instructor, where she worked for 11 years, inspiring and preparing countless students for careers in healthcare. Her program experienced tremendous growth during her time here—so much so that enrollment increased enough to add a second instructor. Whether teaching independently or alongside a colleague, Brenda’s passion for the nursing profession and dedication to her students created a lasting impact.

Julie Schosker has been a cornerstone of Tri Star for 37 years, beginning her career in 1989 as the Transitions Coordinator, working with adults. She also taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Celina High School before finding her long-term role as the Recruitment and Placement Coordinator, a position she held for 30 years. Julie has guided generations of students toward meaningful opportunities, helping connect them with pathways for success after graduation.

Each of these retirees has made a tremendous contribution to Tri Star. Their dedication, knowledge, and care for students have played an essential role in shaping our school and keeping it running smoothly.
