Winning Engineering Students Will Compete at the State SkillsUSA Competition
Congratulations to our Engineering Technology students who competed at the SkillsUSA Regional Competition held Friday, February 13th, at Apollo Career Center. Approximately 500 students from 20 career and technical centers in northwest Ohio competed in 33 different skilled contests. Tri Star engineering students did an outstanding job in their respective contests:
Mason Hess and Jackson Bange – 1st Place in Additive Manufacturing
Steven Stacy – 1st Place in Technical Related Math
Michael Kunkler – 3rd Place in Technical Related Math
Students who place in the top four in each contest advance to the state championship in May for a chance to qualify for nationals in June.
All four Tri Star engineering students qualified to compete at the state SkillsUSA championships. Their Engineering Technology instructor and SkillsUSA advisor is Taylor Hesse. We look forward to seeing how far these students will go!
