Shelly Vaughn, Director of the Mercer County Educational Service Center (ESC), recently welcomed Ohio State Senator Susan Manchester to Tri Star to highlight the collaborative partnership between Tri Star and the ESC in providing the Career Pathways program. Senator Manchester was given an overview of how the two organizations work together to deliver this specialized programming that supports students with diverse needs while helping them feel included and supported.

Tri Star Director Tim Buschur and Assistant Director Paula VanTilburg joined Vaughn and Senator Manchester during the visit to showcase the program's classroom and its unique approach. The group highlighted the work led by Career Pathways Instructor Wendee Bertke and demonstrated how Tri Star’s programming compares to similar programs across the state, particularly in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.

During the visit, Mr. Buschur also had the opportunity to discuss several other educational issues of importance with Senator Manchester.
