Tri Star students have the opportunity to apply for a number and variety of different scholarships. Those that are specifically for Tri Star students include (but are not limited to) the Carpenter Family – Tri Star Scholarship (new for 2026), Skills Gap Grant, Tri Star Eternal Scholarship, Haas Foundation Scholarship, Fred Borger Scholarship, and the Esmonde Family Scholarships. In addition, the Mercer County Civic Foundation (MCCF) and The St. Marys Community Foundation (SMCF) annually makes available a list of scholarships that are managed through their foundation.
Many scholarships on the MCCF site are primarily designated for Mercer County students, however their list also includes scholarships open to Tri Star students regardless of whether they reside in Auglaize or Mercer County.
A list of MCCF scholarships for which Tri Star students could be eligible can be found on the Mercer County Civic Foundation website. All scholarship applications on their website are accessed through an electronic application process. Students must create an account on the website in order to access the applications.
A list of SMCF scholarships including the Carpenter Family - Tri Star Scholarship can be found on the St. Marys Community Foundation (SMCF) website. Apply on the SMCF website. Again, many scholarships on the SMCF site are primarily designated for Auglaize County students, however their list also includes scholarships open to students from other counties as well.
Students are encouraged to apply for as many scholarships as they are eligible for. Remember, not all scholarships are based on a student's academic standing; some are based on financial need and other criteria so don't hesitate to investigate your options.
