Junior Construction Students Construct Raised Beds for St. Marys Senior Citizens
Junior construction students have constructed four, large, raised garden planters as part of a collaborative project with the St. Marys Rotary, the Auglaize County Council on Aging, and the St. Marys High School FFA Chapter. Each planter was built with corrugated drain-pipe cut in half (and drilled with drainage holes), to serve as the liner for the soil. St. Marys FFA members will start the fruits and vegetable seedlings which will be grown in the beds , while the Council on Aging will raise and harvest the plants for their meals on wheels service. The project was coordinated by the Rotary Club. Thanks to all for contributing so generously to completing this worthwhile project that will ultimately feed Auglaize County senior citizens.
