Judith Winner and family, of Coldwater, recently made a generous monetary donation to Tri Star's Ag. Industrial Technology (AIT) program in honor of their husband and father, the late Floyd Winner. Mr. Winner was one of the original Tri Star advisory board members when the Career Compact was created and served many years on the board. He was a very strong supporter of agriculture and career technical education. Students in the AIT program decided to use the money to purchase new engine stands to replace the 25 year old stands that were being used. AIT students spend about seven weeks during the junior year working on engines and the new stands will give them easier and safer access to the engines they will be learning on. The stands will also be shared with and used by the Automotive Technology program. Tri Star, Ken Platfoot (AIT instructor), and the AIT students would like to thank the family of Floyd Winner for their generous donation. Pictured with the new stands are the junior Ag. Industrial Tech. students with the donation check and Mr. Platfoot (far right). Click the image below to view an enlarged picture.
