Good news for our REC Tech (Robotic, Electronic, and Computer Technologies) program, they earned $31,000 in scholarships! Four seniors took four out of the top five places in the University of Northwestern Ohio's scholarship testing. Annually, in late October, the senior REC Tech class attends UNOH's Open House and Scholarship Testing day to take the Robotics and Automation test to try to earn scholarship monies. This is the eighth year that REC Tech students have taken the number one spot to earn the $20,000 (full ride) scholarship. Tri Star's REC Tech instructor is Jerry Kohnen.
Tri Star's scholarship winners are:
Isaiah Figel (Celina) who took the top spot earning a $20,000 scholarship.
Ethan Kemper (St. Henry) earned a $5,000 scholarship.
Dayne Polman (Marion Local) earned a $4,000 scholarship and,
Jack Knapke (Marion Local) earned a $2000 scholarship.
Congratulations to this year's winners and their instructor!
