Senior auto tech students have been working since last fall to earn Entry Level ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications. ASE is an industry recognized credential auto technicians must earn in order to work in the automotive industry.
Tri Star students test in seven areas including Engine Performance, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Maintenance and Light Repair, Suspension and Steering, Engine Repair, Automobile Service Technology, and Brakes. This year four seniors earned all seven certifications.
ASE Entry-Level certification is the first step in building career credentials as an automotive service professional. The tests are intended for students completing a program of technical study in motor vehicle repair and indicating workforce readiness. The entry level certifications are valid for two years.
