CTAV/CTAG Information

CTAV/CTAG

The CAREER-TECHNICAL ARTICULATION VERIFICATION (CTAV) initiative is a collaborative effort between the Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) and the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to facilitate, through electronic means, the verification of high school career-technical coursework so students can earn college credit at an Ohio public university or college with a reciprocal course.

CAREER TECHNICAL ASSURANCE GUIDES (CTAG) are statewide articulated credit opportunities for these courses. In order for a student to earn the credit, they must meet specific criteria including being enrolled in an eligible career technical program course, earn a proficient score on the end-of-course WebXam for the DEW course (listed below) associated with the CTAG and attend an Ohio PUBLIC university or college that offers an approved reciprocal course. Note that not all public colleges will offer such courses. The credits a student earns for the CTAG(s) will appear on a transcript.
